The Chamber and Development Council of Crawford County is seeking a dynamic leader to take our communities to the next level of success.

What you’ll be doing:
- Managing a non-profit agency, its budget, and its 3-employee team in alignment with its current goals and initiatives
- Creating and implementing economic development, community development, workforce attraction, housing, and tourism strategies with oversight from the CDC Board of Directors
- Working with various industries, businesses, and developers to help them expand in Crawford County, or relocate here
- Meeting with various communities, Chamber members, groups, and elected leaders to keep them educated and on-board with the mission and work of the CDC
- Growing and supporting our Chamber members: face-to-face, on the phone and with direct messaging
- Managing the new Ignite Denison business incubator and co-working space and its tenants
- Managing and organizing events and promotions to encourage local retail spending and tourism, including the signature tourism event for Crawford County, the Tri City BBQ Fest
- Working with local start-up businesses to connect them with resources and funding (including our Revolving Loan Funds) so they are equipped for success
- Writing grants to help fund our projects and events
Qualifications:
A minimum of a two-year degree from any accredited institution of higher learning; a four-year degree is desired. A minimum of four years of experience in marketing, sales, public relations, recruitment, or any related field is required.
- Residency within Crawford County is preferred
- Local travel during normal working hours, valid driver’s license, and insurance
- Ability to work extended hours as business needs dictate
