For one night only, the Denison Young Professionals (DYP) will transform a vacant building on Broadway into a nightlife hub.
From 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 5, DYP will host the DYP Lounge at 1217 Broadway in uptown Denison.
The event is open to anyone 21 years of age and older. Admission is $7 and includes wine and beer samples and a live music DJ.
Chamber and Executive Director Evan Blakley explained the event is an opportunity for the young businessmen and women in the area to interact with one another as well as showcase available properties in the Denison area.
“An event like this will allow us to have something to invite out of town guests to for networking and to look at our properties,” Blakley said.
He added that the transformation of the interior will be minimal to allow people to view the building in its current state.
“The decoration will be minimalist. We might have some candles going and some leather furniture for lounge seating areas. We want to have the features of the building shine,” stated Blakley of the structure’s original interior.
