Lynn Schreder named as Keynote Speaker for
2019 Women in Business Luncheon
(Denison, IA) – The Chamber & Development Council of Crawford County (CDC) is excited to announce that there will be a new twist on this year’s Annual Women in Business Luncheon. All aspects of this year’s event will showcase local women-owned businesses. The event is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, April 24th from Noon to 1:00 p.m. at The Stables at Copper Ridge in Denison.
The theme for this year’s event is “Women Empowering Women” with Keynote Speaker, Lynn Schreder, Past-President of the National Association of Women Business Owners NAWBO-IA Chapter & Owner/President of KHI Solutions, “We are very excited and honored to have Lynn join us at this event to share her experience in leadership,” Rachel Desy, Office Manager at the CDC stated. “The beautiful venue is owned by Laura Matthews and the menu will feature a delicious buffet style pasta bar catered by The Bake Shop & Hollywood Café which is managed by Kathy Hasik. Each attendee will also receive a small gift.” Desy added.
“We are excited to give women in our area an opportunity to meet and network while celebrating their successes over the past year,” Desy stated, “Our goal is for attendees to leave the event feeling inspired!”
The CDC will be presenting two Women in Business awards including the “Emerging Woman in Business” and “Businesswoman of the Year.” The first award celebrates a woman in Crawford County who has taken on a new leadership role or launched a new business, and has made a significant impact on the community. The “Businesswoman of the Year” award celebrates the achievements of an exceptional woman in Crawford County who has had a significant impact in business and in the community over the past several years and who also participates in volunteer activities, unselfishly contributing her time to a cause larger than herself. Nominations can be made by calling or emailing the CDC office by Friday, April 5th.
