The Chamber and Development Council of Crawford County (CDC) will hold its 8th Annual Meeting and Reception on Monday, July 9, 2012 at Cronk’s Restaurant on Highway 30 in Denison. All CDC members/guests and other interested parties are invited to attend and are asked to RSVP by Thursday, July 5 to the Chamber and Development Council’s office at 263-5621.
Registration and reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the business meeting at 6:00 p.m. The agenda includes a review of financial information and the election of board members for three year terms that run from 2012-15.
The Annual CDC Business Awards will also be on the program. The New Business Award is given to a business that has been in existence for less than 3 years. The Heritage Award recognizes a business that has been in operation for more than 3 and less than 20 years. A business that has been in operation for 20 years or more is eligible to receive the Founders Award.
Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be served. The CDC was founded in January 2005 with the merger of the Crawford County Development Corporation and the Denison Chamber of Commerce. The purpose of the Chamber and Development Council is to maintain, enhance and grow the economic viability of Crawford County communities. The CDC is committed to serving all citizens of the county, interfacing with various groups, businesses, and governmental agencies to maintain and expand the Crawford County economic base.
