The CDC Heritage Award honors a business that has exhibited continuous success while providing community leadership in Denison and Crawford County. It is also an award for a business that has been in operation from 4 to 20 years. This year it is our pleasure to recognize Dane Dammen and Jennifer Kitt and ThermalFab.
Dane and Jennifer purchased the company from Dennis Kitt in 2002. ThermalFab engages in metal fabrication work and custom design. All of products manufactured by ThermalFab are custom made for individual clients. These products include site fixtures, agricultural items, and part for athletic equipment. ThermalFab employs 25 people in a variety of occupations.
Dan and Jennifer have been involved in the community in many ways. Dane has served on the CDC Board and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Denison Municipal Utilities. Dane has also served on the Board of Trustees for Zion Lutheran Church. Jennifer has participated as a Board member for the Donna Reed Foundation, Softball Board and Zion Lutheran School Board.
Dane and Jennifer came back to Denison to own and operate ThermalFab and are proud of the fact they have been able to grow the business into new markets. Dane and Jennifer also came back because they wanted their kids to grow up in a community where you can get involved and make a difference,
We are very happy Dane and Jennifer and their family came back to Denison and we are proud to honor them and ThermalFab as the CDC Heritage Award winners for 2012.
