CDC Announces Member Small Business Improvement Grant Offering Up to $2,000
The Chamber & Development Council of Crawford County (CDC) is excited to announce a new funding opportunity designed to help local small businesses invest in their future!
The CDC Member Small Business Improvement Grant will provide eligible CDC member businesses with grants of up to $2,000 to make improvements, purchase equipment, implement technology, and support projects that strengthen their business.
Approximately $20,000 in grant funding is available through this competitive program, made possible through the Rural Business Initiative, supported by Wells Fargo and the Iowa Economic Development Authority.
Investing in Crawford County Businesses
Small businesses are an essential part of Crawford County's economy. Whether it's a storefront improvement, new equipment, or technology that makes day-to-day operations easier, even a relatively small investment can make a meaningful difference.
The goal of this program is to help businesses address challenges, take advantage of opportunities, and make improvements that support long-term success.
Examples of eligible projects include:
Storefront, façade, and signage improvements
Equipment purchases and business upgrades
Website development and e-commerce improvements
Technology, point-of-sale systems, and business automation
Branding and marketing materials
Workforce training and professional development
Other projects that improve business operations or support growth
Projects are not limited to these examples. Businesses are encouraged to apply with ideas that address their specific needs.

Eligible applicants must:
Be a for-profit small business located in Crawford County, Iowa.
Meet the applicable U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard for their industry.

How Does the Grant Work?
